Carmine Falcone - Business and Energy Industry, Director (Chairman)
Carmine was with Shell International for 37 years where he was served as a Vice President of Corporate Planning in Calgary, Executive Vice President of Oil Products of Canada, Deputy Coordinator of Manufacturing in the Hague (where he had shareholder responsibility for all of Shell's refineries and gas plants worldwide), the Vice President of Manufacturing, Supply and Distribution of Shell Europe Oil (involving 16 refineries/160 terminals/crude oil purchase/surplus product disposition and the administrative duties for some 6000 people), and VP of Mfg & Supply of Shell Oil in Houston. Carmine also serves on the Board of Directors of Heritage Crystal Clean (Chicago), and serves on the board of the Plaza Group (Houston).
Richard J. Hatala, P.Eng. – President & Chief Executive Officer; Director
Rick has over 33 years experience in all aspects of the energy and service sector industries, focusing on upstream oil and gas exploration and development. Prior to co-founding Integrative Energy, Rick was a founder and served as Executive Director of Integrative Leadership International Ltd., an executive leadership training company, from 2001 through 2004. Prior to that time he served as the Founder and CEO of Momentum Energy International Ltd. from 1997 to 2001 and Founder and CEO of Lionheart Energy Corporation from 1993 to 1997. Rick is the former Founder and General Manager of Zeeland Horizontal Ltd. and held various positions over 15 years (beginning in 1976) with Gulf Canada Resources before ending his career with Gulf as the Manager of Western Canada Reserves Exploitation in 1991.
Dan Ziegler - Vice President of Exploration IE USA LLC, President Integrative Spectral Technologies(IST) & Director
Mr. Ziegler has a broad base of geoscientific expertise in oil and gas exploration that includes prospect building and play conception. He has been a publicly recognized expert in several plays including the Triassic Rift basins along the east Coast (1980’s), the Cotton Valley Reef Trend of East Texas (1990’s) and the Deep Bossier Trend of East Texas (2000’s). He has additional exploration and development experience in the Gulf Coast Mesozoic Salt Basins, Appalachian Basin, Central Texas, South Louisiana, and Eastern Colorado. He has managed medium sized exploration staffs as well as worked as an independent prospect generator. Geological and geophysical workstations have been used in the development of his prospects over the past dozen years. Besides typical geological and seismic datasets, he is also comfortable interpreting gravity, magnetic and various new and old direct hydrocarbon detection technologies. The latter have become an integral part of the prospect building work flow which reinforces his philosophy of using cutting edge technologies to mitigate all risk in all manpower, capital and scientific decisions made in exploration.
J. Paul Mueller, Jr. - Petroleum Consultant, Manager Engineering, Operations, Production
Since 1993, Paul has served as the President of Mueller Exploration, Inc., a Gulf Coast independent exploration and operating company that has been active in the oil industry since 1957. A graduate of the University of Mississippi in 1982 with a BBA, Paul has been involved in supervising all facets of the exploration, completion, and production phases of prospect and field development. He was employed by Mueller Engineering from 1982-1993 before taking the helm of Mueller Exploration in 1993. His operational experience includes participating in the development of prospects, the supervision of leasing, drilling with water base, oil base, foam, and air systems, in both vertical and horizontal wells; completions, including both open hole and cased hole completions, the design and implementation of non-damaging frac and acid stimulation treatments, and conducting landowner and environmentally friendly operations from cradle to grave both along the Texas Gulf Coast and the Mid-Continent regions.
Darin H. Mangum, Esq. – Vice-President; Legal Counsel; Director
Darin is a securities attorney in private practice. He served as a director of Rocky Mountain Energy Exchange, Inc., a regional oil and gas project clearinghouse, from 1993 through 1997 and completed two internships with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 1998. He also is a principal at Corpus Capital, LLC, a private real estate concern, and serves on the board of Well Enhancement Service Group LLC, a privately-held oil and gas service company based in The Woodlands, Texas. His practice includes oil and gas law, real estate, corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, and securities law compliance. His clients include private issuers, hedge funds, FINRA broker/dealers, registered investment advisors, and individual investors. Darin received his law degree from Brigham Young University and is an active member of the Utah State Bar.
Derek Gerlach, Ph.D. - Vice-President of Integrative Spectral Technologies, Director of Energy Research & Development; Director of IST
Derek has 12 years experience as a research engineer, algorithm engineer and senior systems engineer for a number of Silicon Valley hi-tech entities and businesses. Since 2003 he has been the Principal Researcher for Archer Labs, LLC of San Francisco. Derek graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering in the top 3% of Stanford's Ph.D. qualifying exams and is the author of 14 patents in the field of RF and communications technologies. Derek is providing ongoing assistance to Integrative Energy and Integrative Resources Spectral Technologies in enhancing and augmenting our family of leading edge technologies and overseeing our investigation of alternative and new energy sources.
William Pena III- Manager Accounting/Controller
William has over 30 years experience managing the accounting and controller functions of various upstream oil and gas and service companies. Americo Energy Resources LLC, Woodstone Resources, Derby Energy, Raptor Energy & Petroquest Resources as an independent consultant; Coastline Operating, LLC. A. Nelson McCarter Energy Co. Ocean Transportation Services Inc. William graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Commerce and a Major in Accounting in 1978.
Lillas Hatala - Director of Leadership & Learning Center, Director IE & IST
Lillas has over 30 years experience in all facets of human resource programs and has been intimately involved in facilitation, development, consulting and coaching for private, government, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in this field. She is currently the Director of the Business and Leadership programs at the University of Saskatchewan and has served in that capacity for the past 12 years. She is the co-developer and co-founder of the Integrative Leadership Institute in Saskatoon and is the co-author of "Integrative Leadership: Building a Foundation for Personal, Interpersonal and Organizational Success" released in January 2005. Lillas has her Masters Degree in Continuing Education, Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Sciences, and is a dedicated Iyengar Yoga Instructor.
Ray Ludwig - Financial Advisor, Director
Ray Ludwig is currently Vice-President of Operations at Sparta Capital Ltd, which is a public company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Sparta is the Master Sales Agent for the Asia Pacific Region, marketing the Hy-Drive Hydrogen Generating System, a fuel savings and emissions reduction devise for internal combustion engines. Ray is a Director of Sentinel Rock Oil Corporation, a junior oil and gas exploration company traded on the TXS Venture Exchange. He is a founder and President/CEO of Amalfi Capital Corporation, a Capital Pool Company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Amalfi has raised venture capital funds and is currently assessing potential merger/acquisition opportunities to complete its qualifying transaction. From 1997-2004, Ray held the position of Senior Manager within the Financial Advisory Services group in the Calgary office of Deloitte. Over the period 1983 to 1997, he provided financial consulting services to Calgary's oil and gas industry. Before starting his business career, Ray left his home province of Saskatchewan to gain valuable field experience working in the oil and gas service industry in Northern Alberta. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Ray, along with his wife Kathleen and their three teen-aged children, reside in Calgary, Alberta.
Robert M. Boyer, LL.B. - Canadian Legal Counsel & Advisor, Corporate Secretary
Bob is a founder and principal member of Spier Harben, a law firm based in Calgary, Alberta. Bob has practiced law for 28 years (6 of which were spent as a senior counsel with two multinational oil and gas companies). His practice includes oil and gas law, real estate, corporate finance, corporate reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions and securities law compliance. His clients include both public and private issuers. Bob has been directly involved on both a legal and management basis in projects and business enterprises in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Bob received his law degree from McGill University, is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta and an inactive member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Jeanette Welch – Manager Administration
Jeanette received a BS in Education with a minor in math and accounting. She was a math teacher for 20 years with the Conroe, Texas ISD. In 1980, she began working as an office manager for an oil pipeline coating company (Compression Coat, Inc), then worked in an administrative and human resources capacity for Research Periodicals (an international company with offices in 5 different countries).

Gary Montgomery – Senior Advisor: Land Acquisitions and Divestitures
Gary has over 37 years experience in all facets of mineral and surface land activity within North America. He is a Past President and Life Member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen and a Past Director and former Vice- President of the American Association of Professional Landmen. During his career Gary has held management positions for a variety of companies including Conoco Phillips Canada, where he was Land Manager between 1995 and 2006. His experience includes multiple business transactions throughout North America and a key leadership position in over 300 asset acquisitions, sales or trades valued in excess of one billion dollars. In addition Gary has instructed courses, written articles and been a guest speaker to industry on a variety of land and business related topics. Currently he is President of Tri Mont Resources Ltd. a consulting company that provides clients with advice and services related to exploration strategy, land management and asset acquisitions and divestures.
W.C. ("Mike") Seth, P.Eng. – Engineering Evaluations Advisor
Mike is the past Chairman and Director of McDaniel & Associates Consultants Ltd., of Calgary, Alberta, having served with the firm for over 37 years. He has extensive experience in all aspects of oil and gas reserve evaluations in Canada and internationally. Mike has delivered numerous speeches to the oil and gas industry on related topics and has also appeared as an expert witness before various regulatory authorities and the Court of Queens Bench. He was a member of the Council of APEGGA and also served on the Enforcement Review Committee and the Practice Standards Committee - Oil & Gas Evaluations. Mike has a B.A.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Mike was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Enerplus Resources Fund, Canada's largest oil and gas income fund and of Triton Energy Corp., a private oil and gas company. He is also a Founder and Director of Energy Navigator, Inc., a private software development firm servicing the petroleum industry.
Lynn Elliott – Senior Advisor: US Land Acquisitions & Special Operations
Since 1987, Lynn has served as president of Lometa Petroleum Corporation which has participated in and operated over 100 oil and gas projects in the continental United States. From 1983 to 1987, he served as Vice President of Operations and Land for Reata Oil and Gas Corporation. From 1979 to 1984, Lynn was a landman with Raymond Oil and Gas, and from 1973 to 1978 he served as executive director of Commodity Credit Corporation. Lynn has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and is a graduation of the Ohio Institute of Management.
Kathy Leigh-Smith, P.Eng – Advisor Petroleum Engineering
Kathy received her BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1980 from the University of Toronto. She worked in numerous positions for the past 24 years with Esso initially, and then Nexen Inc. She worked domestically and internationally as Division Manager Technical Operations, Joint Ventures, Corporate Planning, Risk Analysis and Portfolio Management. She is currently a partner in the Tao of Peace Martial Arts & Life Skills Institute. Kathy believes in the development and alignment of body, mind and spirit and has a wholistic approach to life and work. She currently resides with her husband Chris and their two children in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada.
Ian McNair, CA – Financial and Accounting Advisor
Currently at PetroCanada, Ian enjoyed a long career (since 1983) at Husky Energy and predecessor companies where he was responsible for various tax functions, including income tax planning and advisory roles with an emphasis on financings, reorganizations and business planning/acquisitions. Prior to joining Husky, Ian held audit and tax positions at a KPMG predecessor firm. Ian received his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1979 and graduated with honors from the University of Manitoba in 1976.
David Cox - Senior Advisor
David has 25 years experience with Gulf Canada Resources in exploration and acquisitions and was the Exploration Senior Business Advisor prior to his retirement in 1999. During his time at Gulf Canada Resources he was responsible for the economic and strategic analysis of the company's exploration program, and made recommendations for multiple takeovers of other Oil and Gas companies. He received his BSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary in 1974.
